We were most honored to receive a grant
from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to assist the
Granville Historical Society in the continuing efforts to preserve the
Old Colony Burying Ground in Granville.

Lesley Hill assisted with scrubbing a monument that was being restored.

This DAR Memorial Flower Garden was covered in vinca until some tender loving care was given. The Oak tree in the center of the garden was planted in 1998 by the Granville Chapter DAR in memory of Revolutionary War Soldiers buried in the Old Colony Burying Ground.

Fourth of July Parade
July 4, 2013 - Granville, Ohio

The theme of the Granville 4th of July Parade this year was "Hometown Heroes". Who better to honor than an ORIGINAL "Hometown Hero", Sgt. Timothy Rose. Sgt. Rose was a Revolutionary War Patriot, Deacon, Judge, prominent businessman and, most importantly, a Founder of Granville! Sgt. Rose was portrayed by our friend, Revolutionary War Reenactor and member of the Hocking Sons of the American Revolution, Tom Hankins of Granville.

Honor Flight
November 2012 - Columbus, Ohio

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport our heroes to Washington, D.C., free of charge, to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
Granville Chapter members greet the Veterans at Port Columbus International Airport and give them a hero's welcome as they return from their trip to Washington, D.C.
